Jaipur Metro History and Description
Construction for Phase I-A from Mansarovar to Chandpole commenced in the year 2010. The operational service was launched on 3rd June 2015. Phase I-B (the underground stretch towards Badi Chaupar) was completed on 23rd September 2020. The metro comprises elevated and underground stretches. It should be noted that this metro is the first one to operate on the double-storey road and rail route in India.
